Fashion forward kidswear and accessories brand, Ellespire Kids, creates clothing which caters for stylish families.

Lynne McManus, the founder of the brand, studied clothing design and manufacture at university, graduating with a BSc Honours degree. McManus’ background in fashion stretches further than her education as she previously worked in visual merchandising for leading High Street brands River Island and Topman.

Her love of fashion, current trends and social media combined with her drive and determination inspired her to start her own childrenswear clothing brand.

Launched in 2014, Ellespire Kids caters for all children from newborn babies right through to 11-year-old boys and girls.

The brand stocks a wide range of fashion-forward clothing including tutus, fur coats and pretty dresses for girls and funky checked shirts, T-shirts and jeans for boys.

Ellespire Kids pride themselves on their trend research and ability to hand select key pieces from all over the world in order to provide customers with affordable style and ultimate comfort. McManus says: “I wanted to curate a brand that reflect the style of their fashion – conscious Mums who love to show off their children’s style – from fabulous Instagram pictures to being out-and-about with friends. The fast-fashion appeal of our pieces allows kids to keep up with the latest trends and styles. With a degree in fashion, I am conscious of the latest trends and how this can transcend into kidswear.”

The Scottish designer also takes inspiration from celebrity fashion icons and her travels around the world. The brand, which labels itself as fun and quirky, targets itself at youthful, fashion-forward mums who have a passion for keeping themselves and their children ahead of current trends.

Ellespire Kids statement pieces are their slogan T-shirts. The T-shirts, which are also available in adult sizes for a matching “Mummy and Me” look, include playful slogans such as “Besties”, “Peace and Pout” and “Curly Hair Don’t Care”.

The youthful and fashionable nature of the matching T-shirts caters perfectly for the brand’s target market. Ellespire Kids believe the sets encourage mothers and their children to reflect their own personalities while bonding, having fun and taking pictures to share on social media.
